SUMMARY

The Management and Organization Studies program at Huron University College invites applications for a probationary tenure-track appointment in the area of Organizational Behaviour, commencing July 1, 2022.  Emphasis will be given to candidates that have a background in the area of equity, diversity and inclusion. The individual will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor.

Management and Organizational Studies at Huron offers a variety of courses and modules for students to pursue in the areas of accounting, finance, business administration, management, and organizational studies, policy and ethics. The BMOS degree provides a stepping-stone to post-graduate professions (e.g., CPA/CFA/MBA/JD), further study and good preparation for a variety of business careers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates for the position must possess a relevant business post-graduate degree(s) (PhD, DBA or equivalent) specializing in organizational behaviour, human resources, and equity, diversity and inclusion. Previous postsecondary teaching experience and an aptitude for quality research are a plus.

The successful candidate will demonstrate their theoretical and practical expertise in the area of organizational behaviour. They will be expected to teach a broad array of undergraduate courses in both qualitative and quantitative subjects, such as organizational behaviour, strategic human resource management, and emerging topics including equity, diversity, and inclusion. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to innovative curriculum development and service within a large, growing part of the University. Demonstrated areas of competency across management functions, commitment to working collaboratively and inventively in a business program within a liberal arts institution, practical leadership in experiential learning, and an international perspective will also be considered strong assets.
