What is the Bishop Hallam Theological Society?The Bishop Hallam Theological Society or B.H.T.S. is the representative body of Theology students at Huron University College. Membership includes all part-time and full-time students in the Bachelor of Theology, Master of Theological Studies, and Master of Divinity programs.The objectives of the B.H.T.S. are:
- To promote a lively interest in theological issues, to provide opportunities for growth and nurture, and to encourage theological students in the articulation of their faith (by such activities as guest lecturers, discussions, presentations, symposiums, publications, and ecumenical dialogue.)
- To promote opportunities to examine the mission of the church and to exercise such ministry.
- To be the official voice of the theological students in academic and theological affairs through their elected representatives.
- To facilitate interaction among members of the B.H.T.S. and between the B.H.T.S. and the greater College and University community with other theological colleges.
In addition to striving to fulfill its objectives, the B.H.T.S. is also a community of prayer within the College. Its members join together daily for Morning Prayer and on Thursdays for our Community Eucharist. For more information on our Chapel Services please see the Huron University College Chapel page.

The Huron University College Prayer
O Lord God Almighty, who art the source of all life and light, and who art thyself the ground of our beseeching; accept our humble thanksgiving for the blessing vouchsafed to this University and College; and we pray thee by thy Spirit so to guide the teachers and students therein, that seeking what is true and discerning what is excellent, they may walk in thy way and more fully know thee, whom to know is life eternal; through thy Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
