Huron University College encourages student, staff, and faculty to participate in international activities. As there are risks involved in travelling abroad, Huron is committed to helping students, staff, and faculty to travel as safely as possible. Here are the resources available for safe travels:
1) Pre-departure orientation: All students who participate in the international exchange program must attend the pre-departure orientation session
2) Emergency Protocols: Huron has established emergency protocols to help students, staff, and faculty who are abroad, i.e: designated emergency contact #, instructions on what to do in case of different types of emergencies, staff support for academic and personal issues while aboard
3) Resources: This website contains brief information about preparing to go abroad, and students can purchase or view the "Ready, Set, Go!" interactive pre-departure workbook for students going abroad.
